Reception System — AI Phone Handler
Local LLM phone handler for small businesses, originally built for clinics. Faster Whisper handles speech-to-text, a local LLaMA/Phi-3 model does intent extraction, and Google Calendar API handles booking. Currently in pilot deployment with a real client through the UWE Enterprise Scholarship. The hard part: making it work reliably on commodity hardware with no internet dependency.

GB Electricity Balancing Mechanism Forecasting
MSc dissertation. Forecasting cost spikes in the GB electricity balancing mechanism using Elexon BMRS half-hourly data. XGBoost and LightGBM as base models, SHAP for explainability, and a novel "early warning horizon" metric to judge how far in advance the system can flag an imbalance event. Deadline: July 2026.

At UWE Bristol. Sem 1 results: Data Management Fundamentals 84 (Distinction), Statistical Inference 70 (Distinction). Currently focused on the dissertation while wrapping up remaining modules. Also serving as student representative for the MSc cohort.
